School ActivitiesBuddy Reading2008 saw the introduction of a fun new reading initiative in St. Catherine's, called Buddy Reading. It has changed only slightly since it started. On Fridays at 12pm members of 3rd class read to the Junior Infants, 4th class read with Senior Infants and half of 1st, 5th class read with the other half of 1st class and 2nd class go up to 6th class to be read to. It has proven to be a great success. The Infants really love their big friends coming down to read to them and eagerly await their visits. The teachers have all noticed the emegence of some budding new teachers! Watch this space!
